The celebration was a three-day event, from 6/14 to 6/16. Chrches from all over Vietnam gathered in Da Nang to celebrate, and many people from all over the globe joined in as well. I didn't attend every single event during the three days, but events consisted of teaching, revisiting the history of the chrch, w.rship songs, and such. The stadium was so full of people that they had to set up projectors and seats in the hallways for the people that couldn't fit inside. It was awesome.
The highlights for me were on the first and third days. On the first day, one of the events included a presentation by all of the different Chr.stian ethnic minority groups in Vietnam. It's just awesome to see how G.d has been busy sending Vietnamese believers to reach all the peoples in Vietnam, even against the difficulties they face.
The second highlight was the closing ceremony. The music was great. They had cool presentations (a believer from India shared his testimony and did some cool demonstrations). An American p.stor did all the teaching in Vietnamese (he grew up in Vietnam). Finally, many responded to the altar call at the end, which was awesome.
I was able to go with my good friend Duy. Even though we had obtained VIP passes from friends who weren't going to the event, we ended up sitting in the general area because the VIP section was already full when we got there. It worked out, because we ended up sitting with the Bread of Life staff. It was really fun.
